New Amazon Guidance on Brand Compatibility
A few weeks ago we took a deeper dive into branding for sellers. Amazon has since provided new guidance to help sellers avoid intellectual property issues when specifying product compatibility with trademarked brands.

Amazon Sues Two Influencers for Peddling Counterfeit Goods on Instagram and TikTok
Amazon on Thursday filed a lawsuit against two influencers and nearly a dozen third-party merchants for allegedly advertising, promoting and facilitating the sale of counterfeit goods. The influencers and sellers worked together in a sophisticated scheme to skirt Amazon’s anti-counterfeit tools by promoting the knockoff goods via Instagram, TikTok, and other means.

Amazon Grocery Delivery into your Garage
Amazon is expanding its in-garage delivery service from 50 U.S. cities to 4,000 and adding Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh deliveries to the available in-garage service. Launched in 2017, when contactless delivery wasn’t a necessary trend in 2017, it allows drivers to deliver directly into garages that are using the myQ garage control app.

Amazon Faces Antitrust Charges From European Regulators
The EU is accusing Amazon of misusing the data it collects from third-party sellers on its platform. The European Commission says Amazon is “systematically” using non-public marketplace seller data to unfairly compete with sellers in France and Germany. CNBC also looks at the impact it may have on Amazon in the U.S.

Amazon has Created Fertile Ground for Bribery Schemes, Sellers Say
In the wake of the $100 million Amazon bribery scandal we mentioned in September, some Amazon Sellers say the Amazon deserves more scrutiny for suspending merchants with no warning and little explanation.
